Create A New Password, Again | Funny Password Story | Probably Not Sorry

Ah Yes… Time to Forget My Password Again.

Wow. 🤯 Password changes… the gift that keeps on giving.
Nothing says “security” like creating a password so complicated that even you can’t remember it 10 minutes later.
At work, ours had to change every 3 months, couldn’t match any of the last six, somehow needed more characters every single time, and we weren’t allowed to write them down. Because apparently having a photographic memory was part of the job description. 🙃

And heaven forbid you actually manage to commit that 16-character monstrosity to memory, because the universe will immediately punish your success. You’ll confidently stride up to your desk on Monday morning, type it in with the speed and precision of a seasoned concert pianist, only to be met with that cold, red font: Incorrect password. You have 2 attempts remaining before your account is locked. Suddenly, you're sweating, questioning your own reality, and trying to remember if you capitalized the third "e" or if you used an exclamation point instead of a 1.

By the third attempt, you're inevitably on a forced first-name basis with the IT helpdesk guy, who sounds exactly as tired of this ritual as you are. He hits the reset button, gives you a temporary password that looks like a cat walked across a keyboard, and the vicious cycle starts all over again. At this point, I’m convinced these strict rotation policies aren't actually keeping the hackers out; they're just keeping us out of our own jobs.
