I Spent 20 Minutes Looking for My Phone… While Using It
It started out like any other completely normal day where my brain had apparently checked out for lunch without telling me. I was deep into a conversation, holding my phone right in my hand, gesturing with it, and using it to make my brilliant points. Suddenly, mid-sentence, absolute panic set in because I couldn't feel it in my pocket. I stopped dead in my tracks, threw my hands up, and declared a state of emergency to the entire room.
For the next twenty agonizing minutes, I tore my kitchen apart. I checked the fridge, lifted couch cushions, looked under appliances, and retraced my steps from a morning I barely remembered. All the while, the person standing right across from me was just blinking, watching me descend into complete madness. I was sweating, thoroughly convinced that my phone had grown legs and walked out the door to start a new life without me.
Finally, out of sheer exhaustion, I stopped tearing the room apart and looked at my friend. They gave me that slow, deadpan look that only true loved ones can pull off, pointed directly at the glowing rectangle in my palm, and said, "You're literally holding it." You truly can't make this stuff up—and that exact moment of absolute defeat is the exact reason this design exists.
